• Optimize your listing photos:
  • Image files of your property should be in jpeg format to best display the millions of colors and shades in photographs.
  • Large photos will not only become distorted when displayed in the space alotted to them, but may take a long time to load in the visitor's browser. They may give up and move on to another listing if yours takes too long to load.

Most image editing programs, digital cameras or scanners will allow you to set the file type, image size, and resolution.

• Set the file type to "jpg"
• Set the image size to no larger than 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high
• Set the resolution to 72 or 96 pixels per inch (web display resolution)

Compress your Photos

After you've created your optimized photos, the file size should be compressed for faster browser loading times. Maximum accepted image file size is 1500 Kilobytes.

If your image editing program does not have a "file compression" feature, Jpeg Wizard has a free trial version of their software program you can use.
